Veprikov Alexander

Veprikov Alexander

Alexander Veprikov was born in August, 1947
in the town of Urzshum in Russia. He had finished
an Art school and after that he was working
as a teacher of drawing. Later he entered
the Studio of Portrait and Historical Painting
in the Moscow State Art Institute named Surikov
which he graduated in 1976. Since 1978 he is
a member of the Russian Artists Union.

He had taken part in many All-Union, local
and foreign exhibitions. Many of his works
are in private collections in Russia, Canada,France,
USA, China, UK. Brought up in the traditions of
classical realism, the painter is persistent in
   following this trend.

Having a philosophical turn of mind, the artist
  never contents himself with casualties.
Considering a sketch to be a preparatory material for painting, he aims at creating
a complete, integral work; he thinks that " painting a picture means creating
a world of harmony, beauty and peace, where the soul of spectator dwells". This idea
is apparent in his works; they are all complete, solid, well-arrenged.

Trying to make his pictures utterly convincing the artist uses a many-layer technique
of painting with scumbling and parallax of colours. The painter likes to work in genre
  of subject Still-life and landscape.
